The wool is on cones allowing you to feed your yarn consistently for the best tufting results. It is also great for use in punch-needle embroidery, weaving, and other textile crafts.

How much yarn do I need?

The amount of yarn you need to create a rug depends on the size of your project, how close together your tufted lines are,  the height of the pile and the type of your tufting gun. Cut pile eats so much more yarn than loop pile.

For example, if you’re feeding two strands of yarn into an AK-I cutpile gun with 12 mm pile height, you can fill up a space around 60x60cm with two cones of our yarn (1kg).

Having a sample card is a great way to see what the colors really look like as well as to get a sense of the texture of the yarn. This card includes all colors of our 100% New Zealand Wool.
